Pipelogix Phoenix Software Updates

Pipelogix publishes updated versions of our software approximately 2-4 times per year.  These updates are only available to members of our customer support program and can be found on our customer support website.  You may check the version currently installed on your computer by opening PipeLogix and opening “About PipeLogix” in the help menu.

Recent Phoenix Releases Changelog

Released 4/4/25:

Pipe Trekker Direct Integration
This release allows for direct integration with Deep Trekker Inc.’s Pipe Trekker systems via serial/USB interface without the need for an XBob setup. This integration works with v4 of Pipe Trekker’s communication protocol for the A200 and A1500 systems.

Point Cloud Viewer
This release includes Point Cloud Viewer. Users can add Point Cloud ply files to a node survey. The Point Cloud Viewer can be used to view attached ply files and measure distances. Measurements can be used to set field values in the survey.
Scheduler Shows Progress (Update)

The Scheduler will no longer show its progress when doing data synchronization using Windows Task Scheduler. The Scheduler will show its progress, when DISPLAY is added to the end of the arguments like this – SYNCH “” DISPLAY and the Security options in Windows Task Scheduler is set to Run only when user is logged on.

Released 10/29/24

NASSCO Version 8 Certified
This version of PipeLogix Phoenix has been certified for NASSCO 8 PACP, LACP, and MACP. Versions 6 and 7 of PACP, LACP, and MACP are still available with this version of Phoenix.

SoftControl Installer Included
The appropriate SoftControl installer is included with the Phoenix installer. It can be found in the SoftControl folder in the application directory.

32-Bit Scheduler
This release includes a 32-bit scheduler EXE and new shortcut to launch the 32-bit Scheduler.

Scheduler Shows Progress
The Scheduler will now show its progress when doing data synchronization. This progress looks similar to how it appears within Phoenix and includes the ability to cancel the progress.

Released 7/23/24:

Microsoft’s System.Text.Json Replaced Newtonsoft JSON library References
The previous release included an update to a newer version of the SoftControl software which included an update to a newer version of Newtsonsoft’s JSON library. The updated Newtonsoft version was different than the version referenced by Phoenix which caused conflicts in development. To avoid these conflicts in the future, Phoenix migrated to Microsoft’s Json library called System.Text.Json (version 7.0.3) rather than Newtonsoft’s parser.

ArcGIS Maps SDK (née Runtime SDK) to Version 200.2.0 From 100.15.0
The GIS libraries from Esri, previously known as ArcGIS Runtime SDK and now known as ArcGIS Maps SDK, have been updated to version 200.2.0 from 100.15.0.
